When you use Woof, we collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, and account credentials for connected email providers. We also collect usage data including device information, IP address, and interaction patterns to improve the service.
When you connect your Google account, we access the following data through Google APIs: your email address, profile name, and email messages in order to display them within the Woof interface.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to provide, maintain, and improve the Woof service. This includes authenticating your email accounts, delivering messages in real-time, and enhancing the product experience.
Our use of Google user data is limited to providing and improving user-facing features of Woof. We do not use Google user data for any other purpose.
3. Prohibited Uses
We do not use Google user data for any of the following purposes:
- Targeted, personalized, retargeted, or interest-based advertising
- Selling data to third parties or data brokers
- Providing data to information resellers
- Training artificial intelligence or machine learning models
- Determining credit-worthiness or for lending purposes
- Creating databases or building user profiles unrelated to the service
4. Email Content
Woof processes your email content to display it in the channel-based interface. Your emails remain stored on your email provider's servers. We do not store the full content of your emails on our servers beyond what is necessary for real-time delivery between Woof users.
5. Data Sharing, Transfer, and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information or Google user data to third parties. We do not transfer or disclose your Google user data to third parties except in the following limited circumstances:
- When necessary to provide the Woof service (e.g., communicating with your email provider to fetch messages)
- When required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or legal process
- With your explicit consent
Any third-party service providers we use are bound by confidentiality obligations and are prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to Woof.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for all data in transit. Access credentials for connected email accounts are encrypted at rest. We conduct regular security audits and follow responsible disclosure practices. Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data and any cached Google user data from our systems within 30 days. Your emails remain with your email provider unaffected.
You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at sendwoofs@gmail.com or through your account settings.
8. Third-Party Services
We integrate with email providers (Gmail, Outlook, etc.) using OAuth where available. We use analytics services to understand how our product is used. We do not share your email content or Google user data with analytics providers.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can export your data at any time. You may disconnect your email accounts and revoke Woof's access to your Google account through your Google Account permissions or by deleting your Woof account through the settings page.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of Woof after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
